About Troop 118

Troop 118 has been part of Davie since 1958, chartered at Community Church of Davie. Generations of local kids learned to camp, cook, lead, and serve here. Today we're a Family Troop — boys and girls, one unit — carrying the same program forward.

Youth-led, on purpose

Scouting is youth-led. Our Scouts elect a Senior Patrol Leader, plan the year's adventures, and run their own meetings. Adults train, coach, and keep everyone safe — the Scouts do the rest. It's how kids learn judgment: by using it.

Adult leadership

The troop is served by registered, trained adult volunteers — men and women — who meet Scouting America's youth protection standards. A troop committee of parents oversees the program.
